Best Buy is a global leader in consumer electronics with more than 1,400 locations, $50B in annual revenue,
and the eleventh largest retail website. With a "unique customer promise" involving the latest devices and services,
impartial and knowledgeable advice, competitive prices, and the ability to shop when and where you want, Best Buy
recently took steps to leverage its multi-channel platform. Ultimately this retailer has enabled an innovative store
remodel strategy that has helped to reduce price per shipment by more than 30 percent in its first year running.
This recipient of the 2012 NASSTRAC "Shipper of the Year" award demonstrated how transportation and supply chain ingenuity,
creativity, and resourcefulness in working across the enterprise can be applied to generate significant results to help an
organization accomplish its business goals. |
