If you are a shipper who has the opportunity to work with third-party logistics companies, this could be the forum you have been looking for. TIA (the Transportation Intermediaries Association) is hosting a panel at their April Conference and are looking for shippers to join the panel titled “Getting in the Door with a Reluctant Shipper”. This panel will talk about how you convert a new shipper to use a 3PL as well as what steps to take to prepare for that first call/initial meeting. The panel seeks to provide answers and replies to shipper questions and objections and to show how to be politely persistent instead of aggressively annoying.
The conference is being held in Palm Desert, California April 8-11. The session takes place Wednesday, April 11 from 2-3 p.m. Panelists are responsible for their own travel, though conference registration is waived if you choose to attend the full event.
If you are interested in speaking on this panel at the TIA Conference, please contact Gail Rutkowski at [email protected].
