Doug was president from 2015 through 2017 and led the association through the transition of management companies and worked tirelessly on behalf of the organization. Doug worked successfully to bring together shippers, carriers, suppliers, academics, media and consultants to build a very strong respected logistics organization. His quiet authority and industry knowledge led him to become a great mentor of new members. He never stopped promoting NASSTRAC and never lost the smile on his face. He will be missed.
In addition to NASSTRAC, Doug was active in a number of industry associations.
Doug was born on October 3, 1952 in Maryville, TN. He was a loyal member of Hope Presbyterian Church until his health declined. Doug is survived by his daughter, Allyson (Devon) of Knight of Bells, TN; granddaughter, Leah Knight of Bells, TN; brother Mike (Tanna) Easley of Olive Branch, MIS and sister, Marla (Joe) Waldheim of Olive Branch, MS.
