The Clean Up After the Storm
Gail Rutkowski, NASSTRAC Executive Director | Thursday, November 8, 2018
It’s been a rough year for transportation professionals. After years of successfully beating down rates to make your budgets, shippers were faced with the fastest market turnaround to a carrier (sellers) market than any of us have ever seen. While we may have gotten a pass for this year and companies dealt with freight rates increasing as high as 20-30%, this pass won’t go on indefinitely.
Transportation professionals are still reeling from blown budgets, natural disasters, regulatory issues, and major capacity issues but are still expected to keep the supply chain moving. What can transportation folks do to manage this ongoing storm?
If you attended our previous Perfect Storm webinars you learned about the storm, what is causing the storm, and what shippers had been doing to mitigate the effects of the storm. What next?
Join us Wednesday, December 5th at 11 a.m. CST as NASSTRAC, CSCMP and TranzAct Technologies brings you Part 4 of the Perfect Storm series “The Clean up After the Perfect Storm…Freight Rates have gone up, did your Costs have to?” This installment will again be moderated by Mike Regan, Chief of Relationship Development and NASSTRAC’s Advocacy Chairman. Mike will be joined by another outstanding panel of industry experts who will share their insights and ideas.
