Why Those Fuel Surcharges will Never Go Away The past year's plunge in fuel prices has brought big savings to carriers in all modes. So why are they still charging a fuel surcharge? The good news is that fuel surcharges have been falling. So, why aren't your shipping costs going down? As the economy has recovered and capacity tightened, carriers have been gradually raising rates. For large shippers, as their contracts come up for renewal, carriers are asking for larger and larger increases. What are shippers doing to help keep their transportation costs in line? How are they combating increases? Are they redefining their fuel surcharge schedules? Come and join the conversation and learn what your colleagues are saying about this issue. This month’s view is open to Regular shipper members only and will be moderated by Mike Regan, Chief of Relationship Development, TranzAct Technologies & NASSTRAC Advocacy Chairman. Register early as attendance is limited. Join your fellow members on our next NASSTRAC View and discover how they are dealing with issues all of us face in our daily work lives.
Attendance is limited to twelve seats and allocated on a first- come, first- served basis.
